In this episode of Masters of Beauty, Dr. Anil Shah speaks with Funeral Director and makeup artist, Kelly Ableidinger from Calumet Park Cemetery. Not many people think about this, but our appearance after we pass away is just as important as when we are living. It is the last memory that we will have for our loved ones and ,sometimes, that final appearance is probably not how we remembered them alive. The parallels of maintaining this beauty for both the living and recently departed are incredible!

Kelly Ableidinger is the funeral director at Calumet Park Cemetery. Kelly decided to become a funeral director after losing her father in 2014. She attended Ivy Tech and earned her Mortuary Science degree with Honors in 2018. She is very passionate about her career and truly cares about her families in their time of grief. Kelly displays a tremendous amount of empathy for everyone affected by the loss of a loved one. She believes that creating meaningful ways to pay tribute to a loved one begins with genuine compassion and is shaped by the understanding that each life is truly unique.
